Chinese New Year Celebrations - The Year of the Rabbit
A reminder that the Primary Celebrations of Chinese New Year will take place on Thursday January 19th at 8:45am. Parents are welcome to attend.
The Chinese Culture and Food Fair on Friday January 20th at 9:00am. Parents are also welcome to attend this event.
Vouchers will be on sale each morning this week at the main entrance and in the Accounts Office. The funds raised will be going to support Mercy House Foundation in Hua Hin ( http://www.huahinmedia.com/mercyhouse.php)
Term Two ECAs
Term 2 ECAs begin today for students in Years 1 to 13. There are over a 100 ECAs on offer across the school this term! Here is a message from Mr Jeremy.
I am sure your child is eager to join their chosen activities so please check Schoolbase to confirm the ECAs they are enrolled in.
Please note that due to limited numbers signing up for some ECAs there have been a few cancelled activities.

If your child was enrolled in any of the above ECAs please contact me ( jeremy.s@huahinschool.com ) and K. Cheng ( cheng.b@huahinschool.com ) and we will support you in finding alternative activities for your child.
If you wish to make any other changes to your child's chosen ECAs you should also contact myself and K. Cheng to assist you.
I must remind you again that any fees due for ECAs will be billed at the end of the first week so it is essential that you inform the school office if your child wishes to leave before Friday 20th January otherwise you will be charged the full term fee.

Silpakorn University String Orchestra
Our IGCSE Music students went to see the Silpakorn University String Orchestra led by professional violinist and conductor from Pro Musica and professional opera Monique Klongtruadoke.
Students were treated to a fantastic programme ranging from Baroque Concertos, to Cantatas, 'Plink, Plank, Plunk' by Leroy Arnold and finishing with the rousing Radetzky March.
It was a fantastic musical evening which our IGCSE students really enjoyed.
HHIS Alumni
We are keen to keep in touch with our Alumni students as they move to universities across the world and onward to careers.
It was lovely to welcome Harry back to school during his vacation and learn about his next steps at University in England. Harry successfully completed his IB Studies at HHIS and graduated in June 2022. He enjoyed Environmental Sciences, Business Management, Mandarin and Visual Arts. Harry is now pursuing his passion of the Arts at Teesside University. He is clearly enjoying all aspects of University life and he said the resilience he developed at HHIS helped to prepare him for adjusting to the colder climate and change of food. We wish Harry continued success.
Another of our 2022 graduates, Faye, will be returning to school on Monday 23rd January to talk to the current Y12 and Y13 classes about self-management, IB survival skills and the transition to university. We look forward to welcoming Faye back next week.
Events for term ahead
The events for the term ahead are listed below. It is great to have more and more opportunities opening up for students.
Dates for Parent/Teacher meetings are also shown. These meetings give teachers and parents a chance to discuss children’s progress and wellbeing. Any concerns or questions do not have to wait until these meetings, of course, so please do keep in contact with teachers through email or by making an appointment to discuss any issue, especially regarding children’s wellbeing. As always, working in partnership with parents is a priority.

ทางรร.จัดจำหน่ายคูปองในช่วงเช้าของสัปดาห์นี้บริเวณทางเข้าประตูหลัก และที่สำนักงานบัญชี โดยรายได้จากการบริจาคจะนำไปมอบให้แก่บ้านเมตตา ในพื้นที่หัวหิน

เรามั่นใจว่าเด็กๆ ได้เลือกลงทะเบียน ECA เรียบร้อยแล้ว โปรดเช็คข้อมูลยืนยันการลงทะเบียนผ่านทางระบบ Schoolbase

วงออร์เคสตร้าของมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร
นักเรียน IGCSE ที่เลือกเรียนวิชาดนตรีมีโอกาสได้ไปเยี่ยมชมวงออร์เคสตร้าของมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ซึ่งจัดโดยนักไวโอลินผู้เชี่ยวชาญและนักวาทยกรจาก Pro Musica และโอเปร่ามืออาชีพ Monique Klongtruadoke
นักเรียนได้เข้าร่วมโปรแกรมที่ยอดเยี่ยมจาก Baroque Concertos ถึง Cantatas, 'Plink, Plank, Plunk' โดย Leroy Arnold และปิดท้ายโปรแกรมด้วย Radetzky March

เรายังคงติดต่อกับศิษย์เก่าของโรงเรียนหลังจากที่พวกเขาเข้าเรียนในมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วโลก และก้าวไปสู่อาชีพต่างๆ
เรายินดีต้อนรับ Harry กลับมาโรงเรียนในช่วงวันหยุด ซึ่งเขาได้ไปศึกษาต่อในมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศอังกฤษ Harry ประสบความสำเร็จจากหลักสูตร IB ที่โรงเรียนของเราเมื่อเดือนมิถุนายน 2022 ที่ผ่านมา เขาชอบการเรียนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อม บริหารธุรกิจ ภาษาจีน และทัศนศิลป์ Harry กำลังหลงใหลเกี่ยวกับศิลปะที่มหาวิทยาลัย Teesside เขามีความสุขกับทุกแง่มุมสำหรับชีวิตในมหาวิทยาลัย และเขากล่าวว่า ความยืดหยุ่นที่โรงเรียนพัฒนาตัวเขา ได้เตรียมไว้สำหรับอากาศที่หนาวเย็นและอาหารที่เปลี่ยนแปลง เราขออวยพรให้ Harry ประสบความสำเร็จต่อไป

กิจกรรมที่จะเกิดขึ้นในภาคการศึกษานี้ตามรายการตารางด้านบน เป็นสิ่งที่ยอดเยี่ยมที่เรามีโอกาสจัดกิจกรรมให้แก่นักเรียน
วันประชุมผู้ปกครองตามที่แจ้งในตารางด้านบน การประชุมนี้ช่วยให้ครูและผู้ปกครองได้ปรึกษาหารือเกี่ยวกับพัฒนาการและสุขภาพของเด็กๆ หากผู้ปกครองมีคำถามเพิ่มเติม ผู้ปกครองไม่จำเป็นต้องรอถึงวันประชุมผู้ปกครอง แน่นอนว่าโปรดติดต่อกับครูประจำชั้นโดยตรงผ่านทางอีเมล หรือ ทำการนัดหมายเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหานั้น โดยเฉพาะเรื่องเกี่ยวกับสุขภาพของนักเรียน อย่างที่กล่าวมาเสมอ การทำงานร่วมกับผู้ปกครองเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่สุด
