McDaniel Service, LLC is a family owned and operated company based in the Port of Florence, Florence, Alabama on the Tennessee River. McDaniel Service, LLC has been in business since 1999 and became a part of the Port of Florence in 2007. We are licensed and insured to accommodate residential, commercial, and industrial needs with our wide range of services for both private and business property owners as well as construction sites. Our services include; dredging by excavation, slough clean up of logs and debris, riverfront rip rap installation, and land-based equipment services.
Waterfront property owners recognize the need for dredging periodically. Dredging will restore a navigable water depth around your waterfront and outcroppings, keeping your water-going vessels that much safer from mud, sediment, and debris. With waterfront comes shoreline, which is subject to erosion from natural currents and weather events. We are capable of carrying out waterfront maintenance, keeping your shoreline stable and usable through the application of rip rap rock to damaged or eroded areas.
In addition McDaniel Service has been providing services to the barge and towboat industry since opening in 1999 and continues to do so to this day. These services have included stevedoring (barge loading and unloading), barge cover stacking and/or setting, barge shifting services, welding services, and cargo area cleaning, as well as both barge and towboat inspections and evaluations.
