Our first week back has been a quiet one since Mrs Bewick returned after the Christmas holiday with no voice!
We got straight back into our learning and enjoyed the first lessons on new blocks of work in all subjects.
In our Humanities lessons, we are learning about South America. We began by locating the continent on a world map then focusing on naming the countries which make up South America. We used our existing knowledge and atlases to help us do this.
Our class reader this half term is ‘There’s A Boy In The Girls’ Bathroom’. We are enjoying the story and we have learned a bit more about the author, Louis Sachar, in our reading sessions.
In the biography we read about him, we found out that he also wrote ‘Holes’ so some of us wanted to read this as our independent reader. We are enjoying ‘Holes’ a lot, so much so that some of us are finding it hard to put it down!
