A great start to the week - winning the class attendance award!
A week of rehearsals and performances!
We had two rehearsals for our Christmas performance which is taking place on Monday!
After many rehearsals, we did our class performance of The Sheep-Pig on Friday. It was fantastic and the class all did really well!
Maths and DT: Creating a castle
To begin the process, we spent a few lessons learning about 3D shapes. Firstly, we used the different shapes to find the properties of each one.
Each member of the class designed their own plan for their castle. They had to think about the different materials they would use to make their design.
In the next maths lesson, we used nets to create 3D shapes. This was really tricky to do and required a lot of concentration.
On Friday, the class then began creating their castle structure using card. We had to follow lots of instructions closely to do this. It was also really difficult to do and required a lot of resilience.
By the end of the day, the class decorated their castles to match their own design. We will finish this next week too!
Star award lunch!
Three of the members of our class got a special lunch this week for having been nominated for a star of the wall which represent the different school values.
