Welcome to the course overview.
(Optional) video overview
"This course is the Office of Academic Technology's New Essentials of MyLeo Online (D2L Brightspace). This course is to serve as a model for instructional courses as well as act as a training ground for faculty to learn the features of D2L."
In this course, you will be presented with content that has been created by the Office of Academic Technology staff. There are activities throughout the course that are designed to allow you to practice your new skills as well as master some of the features of D2L. These activities are designed for you to complete in your personal sandbox, which you should also be enrolled in. If you find that you are enrolled in this course but not a personal sandbox, please contact the Office of Academic Technology by emailing online@tamuc.edu.
At the end of this course, learners (that's you!) will be able to:
- Navigate through a D2L course offering.
- Create and manipulate content within a D2L course offering.
- Use various tools to communicate with students in a D2L course offering.
- Use the activities tools (assignments, discussions, and quizzes) to engage students in your D2L course offering.
- Set-up and use the gradebook in your D2L course offering.
- Let's begin the course with the "Getting Started" module.
