BIOGRAPHY

The Doo-Wop Kings are one of Las Vegas’s finest acapella vocal groups serving up a perfect blend of the 1950's and 60's classics. They also sing current pop hits with a doo-wop twist leaving the younger generation standing in awe, and the older generation smiling in reminiscence.

The Doo-Wop Kings vocal performance is nothing short of explosive! Each with independent careers in the music industry, The Doo-Wop Kings came together while performing in the award winning production, “Vegas! The Show!” at Planet Hollywood. These four uniquely talented vocalists are full of life and always ready to have a good time.

Michael Washington
On any given set, Michael can do an unbelievable Ray Charles/Marvin Gaye Set

Michael Washington is an accomplished singer/songwriter/actor who has a passion for sharing his gift of music with the world. Born and raised in Southern California, Michael has had the pleasure of performing with many amazing artists such as Michael Bublé, Judith Hill, Kirk Franklin, Roz Ryan, Yolanda Adams, Eden Espinosa and Peaches and pop Herb. He has toured with Josh Groban and The Alley Cats.

Michael has performed with artists on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno and appeared on MTV's "The Cut," The WB "Popstars," BET's "Sunday Best" (Season 4 top 10 finalist) and General Hospital's Night Shift with Billie D. Williams. Michael has performed in many stage shows for Disney and Universal. His universal appeal has led him to stages all across the U.S., and Japan. He has appeared in the movies "20 Feet from Stardom," "Gigli" and "The Fighting Temptations." He also music directed "Hairspray" the musical (The Orpheum Theatre) and "The Wiz" (The Saban Theatre) in Los Angeles. Michael Washington calls Las Vegas home and is happy to be appearing in VEGAS! THE SHOW! His dream is to reach people in song, and to bring love, quality and purpose back into music.

David Villella

David Villella is from Trenton, New Jersey, and graduated from Ithaca College where he studied musical theater. He was on Broadway in the original cast of the Tony Award winning revival of "Annie Get Your Gun," which starred Bernadette Peters and later Reba McEntire. He spent a year in Hamburg, Germany, and toured the United States for another year as Rum Tum Tugger in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats." From theme park (Busch Gardens, Williamsburg) to dinner theatre (Carousel Dinner Theatre, Westchester Broadway) and cruise ships (Royal Caribbean's Nordic Empress and Legend of the Seas) to regional theatre (Arvada Center, Ford's Theatre, Northshore Music Theatre, Pioneer Theatre, Maltz Jupiter, Merrimack Rep, White Plains, Marriott Lincolnshire, among others....) koi

Joshua Smith
A full set of Frank Sinatra/Elvis Presley? Joshua got that covered!

Joshua is from Fredericksburg, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture. Shortly after graduation, Joshua decided to take a leap of faith and dive into this crazy world of performing. From humble beginnings in regional/dinner theater, he performed roles such as Zeke in High School Musical: On Stage and Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He then worked at Dollywood in "DreamLand Drive In" where he was nominated for the IAPAA "Performer of the Year" award. After working with Dolly Parton herself, he performed with Carnival Cruise Lines and Holland America Cruise Line, then moved to Norwegian Cruise Line to join "Oh What A Night" A Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. He currently performs in Vegas! The Show and Legends in Concert on the Las Vegas strip.

Bryin Woods
Bryin is undeniably one of the best Male Lead Singer in Las Vegas covering the pop hits of Little Richard to Stevie Wonder.

Stevie Wonder/Little Richard

Bryin Woods is originally from Dallas, Texas. He has been singing professionally for over twenty-five years and made his start with the Texas Boys Choir at age seven.

He has starred in productions with The Dallas Opera, All-Region and All-State Choirs during his high school years. While attending Collin College, he performed in the Theater Productions of "Bat Boy," and "Don't Rock the Jukebox." Other performances include the Water Tower Theater production of "The Wiz," and Uptown Players production of "Aida." Bryin has performed with Carnival Cruise Line for seven years as a production and playlist production singer. He later became a playlist vocal supervisor for Carnival Cruise Line. Bryin Woods is a talented vocalist and is happy to be the newest member of The Doo-Wop Kings.
