Hi! I have been a ballet dancer since I was 3, and in 2012 I started my journey as a dance teacher.
In 2015 I started teaching a free ballet class. I had no idea that our little "Leaps of Faith" volunteer class would change my life and the lives of so many people around me.
We've grown, moved locations, and have had lots of exciting adventures we never thought would be possible, but the mission has stayed the same: to teach classical ballet to families who cannot afford it, and to share the love of Christ to children, their families, and the community.
We've grown. A lot. And God's given us some exciting visions that we're ready to see happen very, very soon. But LOF needs a full-time director to make that happen.
Why Ballet?
Ballet is one of those things that a lot of people find boring. It's pretty repetitive. You do pliés, tendus, and adagio every. single. class. And it's painful! Every muscle has to be engaged and working HARD during even the most seemingly simple steps.
But that's what makes it so fun... you spend hours and hours every week working on these teeny tiny details just to make it look effortless. Then you finally get to perform, and all of the discipline, resilience, and focus on the details is so worth it.
Ballet, aside from being so much fun, teaches kiddos countless lifelong skills. The physical, emotional, and mental benefits of this art form are too many to name, but I can tell you, friend, I would not be the person I am today without the lessons I learned in ballet.

More than Ballet
Ballet is great. For sure. But what we REALLY want our kiddos to experience is their Creator. Their Father. The best, deepest, and most true Love they'll ever know.
And not just our kids! Our ballet moms, dads, grandmas, and uncles. Our volunteers. Our college interns. Our audience members. Leaps of Faith exists to share the joy ballet and the even greater joy of Jesus with everyone we come in contact with!
Ministry Visions
I have a fantastic group of followers of Jesus that serve on my board of directors. They are excited to see the role of director filled so we can make the following visions a reality:
We will accept all kiddos who applied this year and have no need for a waiting list.
We will provide transportation to the children who are unable to participate because they do not have a way to get to class.
We will provide more programs and services in ministry and in ballet for our kids, their families, and the community.
The Lord has placed on my heart the great honor and responsibility of cultivating a team of partners who feel God leading them to share in this opportunity.
