Dynamic Performing Arts Production 2022
Drama: ‘Being part of Collaborate Theatre Company was very fun, we enjoyed being able to express ourselves through the characters emotions. Working together as a group with Mrs. Coulson allowed us to collaborate on ideas and create a performance we are proud of. It was a bit scary to be in front of a live audience at first, but the fear soon turned into excitement and joy! Performing in the Dynamic showcase was a brilliant experience, it gave us a boost of confidence and we now feel we can perform or address an audience without feeling nervous or shy. It was a great experience to be part of a whole school performance, ’
Huma Hassan, Simran Paul, Guneet Kaur and Leah Samuel- Year 7 Collaborate Theatre Company members
Dance: ‘I really enjoyed being a member of Baylis Dance Company again and being able to work as a group with Mrs. Howkins. I really enjoyed the choreography and performing in front of a live audience, which we haven’t done for so long. Dynamic was really fun and we hope you all enjoyed it.’
Chloe Weir- Year 10 Baylis Dance Company member
Music: ‘It was a new experience for me to be part of Dynamic, it was exciting and fun. The entire cast were very supportive and we loved bringing our ukulele music club to a live audience. I enjoyed singing and performing my ukulele in front of an audience, it gave me confidence and I enjoyed being part of the ukulele group. We look forward to performing again next year.’
Hania Sheaikh and Dareesha Khan- Year 10 Musicians
Thank you to everyone that supported this year’s Dynamic performance, it was such a wonderful experience to bring the student’s hard work back to the stage.

High School Musical:
‘I find it very exciting to be part of the High School Musical cast, it is very energy, exciting and provides us with a real experience of performance theatre. I enjoy the acting, singing and dancing equally. The cast have worked really hard to bring the script and songs to life. We are very excited to perfom this show to a live audience. I cannot wait for my first musical production at Baylis Court School.’

Book Review
‘Not a Happy Family’ by Shari Lapena
I chose this book because the author is really good and it might be one of my best reads! I have read a lot of books and this one was really good. This book is a murder detective thriller and has crime solving.
You feel like you are with the characters every step of the way. Everyone keeps secrets, even the dead.
In the quiet, wealthy Brecken Hill, an older couple is brutally murdered hours after a tense Easter dinner with their three adult children and their partners – who of course are devastated (or are they?). They each stand to inherit millions. They were never a happy family thanks to their vindictive father and neglectful mother. Did someone snap after the dreadful evening? Or did another person come in the night with the worst intentions? After all, if one of the family were capable of something as gruesome as this, you’d know, wouldn’t you?
