Field Day By Arlo DeVera & Reese mallett

Before students came out for field day, Jacob Hillis, 10, and Para-Professional Payton Smith help set up the snack station. The snack station consisted of sweet, salty and crunchy snacks for all participants to enjoy throughout the day.
Black student Union members Chloe Calvin, 9, Mariame Ndiaye, 9, Aareighyia Thomas, 9, work to set up the popcorn and cotton candy area. These sweet snacks were available after eating lunch for all students and staff.
At the cotton candy machine, Ayodamola Akande, 9, practices and makes cotton candy for the students and staff. Black Student Union members volunteered to work at different stations at the field day.
On April 28, Karina Jasso, 10, paints Sophie Peterson, 9, hand using a stencil and face paint, glitter and stickers. Student volunteers and workers worked different stations at Field day.
Hannah Roberts, 10, designs an henna tattoo on Kennedi Rosemond's, 12, hand at the field day. After Roberts finished the design, Rosemond went to the speaker and danced to the music.
At lunch time, Mr. Cousins grills hamburgers, ribs and more for student and staff volunteers. Other administrators, teachers and staff members enjoyed the meal as well.
At the corn hole game, Rheama Winfrey, 9, and Jordan Salazar, 10, encourage one another throughout the game. Volunteers played games such as corn hole, volleyball, catch and more throughout the day.
Heba Joudeh, 12, and Garrett Gladney, 11, play with the oversized ball with other volunteers from key club.
On the tricycles, Kaitly Keel, 10, and Aurelia Tong, 9, ride together. Other students raced or made laps around the parking lot.
On the bounce house, Emily Salmon, 9, slides down the slide. Soon afterward, she proceeded to climb back up to do it again.
Sophmores Sienna Wimbrey and Ryleigh Stinson jump in the bounce house. Partners in PE and Partners in Art students paired up with SPED/FALS students and spent the field day together doing field day activities such as face painting, henna, volleyball and more.
