Copiah-Lincoln leaves a mark, capturing its first national title in program history

Copiah-Lincoln (MS) had the bats going for the championship final, defeating Jones College (MS), 7-0, to earn its first national title. The Lady Wolves got the bats going in the third inning scoring two runs to get ahead and then dominated in the fifth with five runs and four hits, including a grand slam by Abby Grace Richardson. Belle West pitched all seven innings, giving up five hits with zero runs scored.

The Lady Wolves started out strong in the national tournament staying in the winner's bracket until day three when they fell to Jones College. Copiah-Lincoln battled to get to the championship game where they defeated the Bobcats twice to take home the title of National Champion. Freshman Abby Grace Richardson earned Tournament MVP honors and received the Offensive Player of the Tournament award.

Abby Grace Richardson hit a grand slam to secure Copiah-Lincoln's lead. Belle West pitched for all seven innings facing 28 batters with no runs scored.

Madison Moak got the bats going for the Lady Wolves in the third inning hitting a single through the right side for an rbi. After that, it didn't take long for Copiah-Lincoln to keep the hits coming. The Lady Wolves greatened the lead in the fifth inning with a grand slam by Abby Grace Richardson and would go on to score one more run in the top of the fifth expanding the lead to 7-0.

Abby Grace Richardson dominated for the Lady Wolves earning MVP in this year's championship run. She homered twice in the first round of the championship final against Jones and continued to dominate at the plate when she hit a grand slam in the final championship game to give the Lady Wolves a 6-0 lead.

Abby Grace Richardson's outstanding performance in the box throughout the tournament earn the Most Valuable Player honor.
Copiah-Lincoln head coach Meleah Howard was awarded the Coach of the Tournament after guiding the Lady Wolves to the program's first national title.

Jones, who entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed, finished as runners-up after having a successful world series run. The Bobcats coasted through the world series as they went undefeated leading up to the championship game. They defeated No. 2 seed Louisburg to earn a spot in the championship, where they fell to Copiah-Lincoln twice.

The Bobcats were led offensively by Carly Lewis, Tia'Rain Saunders, and Lauren Lindsey.

Copiah-Lincoln receives its first national title in program history. The Lady Wolves defeated top-seeded Murray State and fourth-seeded Parkland to advance in the tournament.

The Lady Wolves are bringing the national championship title to Mississippi.

Along with Richardson's outstanding performance at the plate, Cara Biswell dominated in the circle.

Sophomore Faith Kivett was named the Defensive Player of the Tournament.
