Art - This week in art, we have been looking at tints and shades. We learnt that tint is when you add white to a colour to make it lighter, and shade is when you add black to a colour to make it darker. We had a go at creating different shades and tints in our art books.
We then drew a cup and using squares to guide us, used our new tint and shade knowledge to paint it.
Chinese New Year - On Wednesday, we had some of the children’s’ parents to come and talk to us about Chinese New Year and how they celebrate it. The children loved finding out which animal they were based on the year they were born, and were able to find similarities in celebrations for New Years Day.
History - We finished off our learning of the Romans by creating different formations and practising our marching. The formation shown in the picture is called a wedge.
On Wednesday it was our class assembly, where we showed everything we have been learning about so far this half term. Well done children for a great assembly!
