In Science, this week, we carried out an experiment about the solubility of salt in water.
We were trying to find out if the temperature of the water affected how quickly the salt dissolved.
We worked together in groups on this and….
….we had to use a thermometer to measure the temperature of the water. We recorded our results.
This week also saw the rounds of House Captain speeches.
We had to write a speech about ourselves and why we should be voted as House Captains. Then we presented them in front of the school to persuade them to vote for us.
On Wednesday, the candidates for Red and Yellow house presented their speeches.
On Thursday, it was the turn of the Blue and Green house candidates.
All those who presented did a great job and I am so pleased to say that some of the candidates elected were from our Year 5 class- well done!
I’m sure they will be fantastic House Captains, setting a great example to the rest of the school.
