ART in six countries gets MIXED!
Students from each country were invited to contribute to a TwinPage and 6 subpages loading emblematic paintings or work of Art from their country on Twinboards. They were invited to give a picture, the name of the creator, the year of creation and the Gallery the artefact is hosted at. When all Twinboards were finished, everyone was invited to visit partners' subpages and vote via Twinpolls for the artefact he/she liked the most. This way we came up with 4 pieces of art from each country, so as to design a Mixer Poster and/or go on printing and disseminating the material! This way we created mini Art Galleries at our schools!

After the voting for the best liked artefacts was completed, we at Gymnasio Mygdonias, thought about changing completely our school's upper floor decoration with a precious artful element! Local authorities were informed and motivated to help and contribute. So walls were freshly painted.
Then students as AGENTS of CHANGE started getting prepared to become Gallery Guides, Presenters, Painters themselves, graphic designers, that is HOSTS!!!

Let's share Lithuanian students attitude and thoughts during the creation of their Erasmus Art Gallery!
"We chose these artworks, because Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis is not only famous for his art, but the meanings behind every painting are unique and thoughtful. In my opinion, other countries chose these beautiful paintings due to feeling which artist from their country represents their culture the best. " Urtė Marija said.
"M.K. Čiurlionis was and still is one of the greatest artists that Lithuania has seen. Some may argue that he is indeed the best. His works are filled with emotion, longing and that dreamy, nostalgic feeling that every lithuanian is so familiar with and that’s why we chose his painting to be on our poster. As for other countries, their chosen paintings have such a distinct character and rich emotions that they make me want to visit those places. I am sure that the cultural significance behind each of those paintings is incredible. " Kamilė said.
"We chose these paintings because they were created by M. K. Čiurlionis who was a Lithuanian composer, painter, writer and all of his works have had a profound influence on modern Lithuanian culture.I believe, just like us, other countries chose artists who represented their countries' culture, values the best. " Liepa said.
"We chose these paintings because Čiurlionis is one of biggest artists of Lithuania. His art represents Lithuania.I feel that Greece chose such paintings, because it represents their history, art and culture." Junija said
"These paintings were chosen not only because they were painted by one of the most famous painter in Lithuanian history, but also because of their artistic value and their meanings, they reflect our culture.I think other teams chose paintings that also reflect their culture and best show what the country is known for. " Agnė said.
"We chose these paintings because Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis and Kanutas Ruseckas are well - known artists in Lithuania. Their artworks represent our culture and people.Other countries chose these paintings as the best way to illustrate their culture. " Greta S. said.
"Our team chose the works of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, because his works are known all across Lithuania and have a deep connection with the nature of the country and the artist expresses his adoration for his country through them.I believe that all of the countries chose the artworks that represent them best, showcase their culture and are generally known by people around the world." Otilija said.
"We chose these artworks given that they were created by Mikalojus Konstantinas čiurlionis and Kanutas Ruseckas, the two of Lithuania's greatest artists. Their artworks properly represent ourselves as individuals, our culture, and our nation as a whole. Other countries, it appears to me, chose the paintings that best portray their cultures, or possibly the paintings were created by their best-known painters. " Aleksandra said.
And last but not least, the precious contribution of our Spanish partner (2020-21) school, The Colegio Pureza De Maria. We thank you for working together during the first two years of our project!
