High Street Steaks by KAde Davidheiser '23 and Katie Newkirk '22

High Street Steaks is a cheesesteak and sandwich shop located in Pottstown, PA. Owners Suzanne Grace and Jim Swahl opened the restaurant in 2020, and have seen a huge boom in business as they emerged out of the Covid-19 pandemic. High Street Steaks is huge part of the Pottstown community and they aim to create lasting relationships with everyone they serve.

Grace and Swahl chose Pottstown because they knew it had great potential and they wanted to give back a community that they had each been a part of for many years. "Pottstown was going to be the next Phoenixville, but then the pandemic came," Swahl said in an interview.

After surviving the pandemic, High Street Steaks' focus shifted to growing the business. They have been successful in increasing both foot traffic and online outreach to new customers through apps like DoorDash and UberEats.
