Damn...Those Yams!: Yam Festival 2022 Ella B. '25 and Lilah R. '25

Yam Festival has been a beloved Westridge tradition since 1998, when the Families of Black Students at Westridge committee created an event celebrating the diverse cultural backgrounds of the student body. Eventually, the Families of Black Students at Westridge committee decided to highlight yams as the central component of the event, since it is a food grown in every inhabited continent. Yam Festival was created to promote inclusion at Westridge by encouraging cultural connections through a wide array of yam dishes served all over the world. This is a snapshot of this year’s Yam Festival at Westridge!
