We thank all of our teachers, staff, and students for a great start of the school year. During the first week back to school, our teachers orientated our students on classroom expectations and provided an overview of learning outcomes for their classes.
Our new Cabbies, improved with locating their classroom in the building throughout the week. All students will be participating in school wide assemblies, to review community expectations and the student code of conduct.
Last Week, Dr. Warshany shared information about I-Ready diagnostics testing this upcoming week. The test is extremely important because it allows for us to get baseline data on where each student is performing in ELA and Math. See below for more information.
We thank all of our parents for being patient during the car line arrival and dismissal procedures. As Dr. Downes shared in her recent memo, we will continue to improve as the year progresses. We have been working closely with DelDOT to survey our traffic flow over the next few months to help improve safety and overall efficiency.

Student and Teacher Highlights
Cameron Green speaking at Cooke Elementary School

Cameron Green, a former Cooke Cardinal and one of our lead performers in Mamma Mia musical, was asked to share some inspirational words about what makes a great teacher. He delivered an amazing "talk" in front of the Cooke Elementary School whole staff with stories, words of encouragement, and a few jokes. He shared examples of teachers making a difference in his life, many of whom are Cab staff members. We appreciate Ms. Tory Curtis for sharing this success story.
