WELCOME

Arlen-Dean Gaddy (right) joined Ferris State University President Bill Pink (left) at Pink’s Inauguration Ceremony at Ferris’ G. Mennen Williams Auditorium on October 8, 2022.

Last year was monumental for Ferris State University and the Ferris Foundation, celebrating changes that will help our students now and long into the future. Your support has been the key to our success and will be as we move forward.

The foundation’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign, Now and Always, raised more than $123 million. Donors large and small recognized the value of a Ferris State University education, and how the foundation can make that education more accessible and create facilities that expand opportunities for success.

Ferris continues to grow to best prepare students for a changing world. Your commitment to the university, its mission and its students is about to make an even more visible impact on our campus.

Soon we’ll be celebrating the grand opening of the Center for Virtual Learning, a physical hub of Ferris’ learning metaverse, bringing students, educators and technology together -- virtually and physically -- as a community pursuing innovation and excellence. Distance won’t be a barrier to a Ferris State education.

We’re also closer to the opening of our Center for Athletics Performance, a championship-caliber facility. The 42,000 square feet of new and renovated space will be student-experience driven – focusing on the physical and mental needs for every student-athlete on every roster, helping champions and future champions.

Phase II of the Pharmacy Forward initiative will renovate pharmacy labs and create interprofessional clinical space to build critical practice skills. Planned expansion of the Jim Crow Museum will advance its much-needed dialogue on the history of race relations and social justice in the United States.

Most essentially, the work of the Ferris Futures Scholarship Challenge continues. We have extended our deadline for matched giving through Dec. 31, 2024. Your support will make a difference, helping students overcome financial obstacles, complete a degree, change the course of the lives and then go out into the world to make it a better place.

None of these wonderful things happens without your support. We are so appreciative of how the Ferris family continues to rally around our students and our campus. Thank you for making a difference today, and we hope you continue to be a part of our efforts tomorrow and beyond.

The Ferris Foundation is the fundraising arm of Ferris State University. Since 1991, the foundation has been responsible for receiving, investing and distributing endowment gifts, which provide a source of perpetual support for Ferris State University.

In January 2015, The Ferris Foundation’s role expanded beyond managing endowments, becoming the umbrella organization that receives and acknowledges all gifts to the university. This includes annual gifts that meet present needs, with the goals of enhancing stewardship and communication with donors, creating a more efficient and unified approach to philanthropy, and further strengthening the foundation’s mission as a valued and trusted intermediary between Ferris State University and its donors.
