Sydney 2022 Adobe, Family and Photos - Shot with a GoPro 11

I was in Sydney for the Adobe APAC Education Summit held during the third week of September 2022. I decided to wrap some recreational leave days around the conference to spend time with the Sydney Family.

The Adobe Offices are located in Darling Harbour. check out the views!

Looking East towards Hyde Park with the Sydney Tower (the needle looking object) in the middle of the city. The Sydney Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay and the Opera House are to the left of this photo.

Looking South from the Adobe Offices. The Chinese Gardens, a personal favourite of mine are the treed patch to the left of the triangular shade structure in the the middle of the picture.

Okay, just to prove that I was there.

Now without someone blocking the view.

Looking South-East, you can see the old ornate structure of the St Andrews Cathedral which sits behind the Sydney Town Hall in amongst and obscured by the sky scrapers.

Of course we didn't just look out the window all day. Each day was a hive of activity, presenting and sharing educational and creative knowledge nuggets to our in situ audience and thousands beaming in from around the region.

A little fun video created with Express Video highlighting some lighter moments.

As I arrived before the conference and also stayed a day after the conference, I had time to enjoy Sydney including an impromptu trip to Bathurst and Mt Panorama, travelling through Lithgow and Bilpin where we observed a statue of the Lithgow Flash and purchased an apple pie. We completed two "hot laps" of the Mt Panorama Car Racing circuit at speeds to satisfy the multitude of police there to ensure lap records were reserved for race day.

The first few shots are of the path which runs alongside the Hawkesbury. Taken over two days with fog on the first day and clarity the next - I included photographs of the damage still being repaired from the last two floods. If you look at the white house in the second photograph which is situated well above the walking path, water during the floods reached the first storey floorboards of that house. Imagine what happened to the house on the right.

Additionally on day 1, as I arrived early - I was able to make use of the fabulous public transport system to visit the icons of Sydney, namely the bridge and the opera house before taken a less trodden tourist path along Oxford Street to take a look at the Paddington Reservoir Gardens

Next to that is the Victoria Barracks Sydney where as a young officer I conducted a guard over the Easter break in 1985. An eye opening experience for a young Lieutenant.

I was staying on the north side of the city near the Hawkesbury River, and was surrounded by nature at my brother and his wife's property as well as the general surrounds. It is those pictures of nature I share as a final album.

Okay, just one more... Hard to believe all this happened in one week. Although I captured videos as well, these haven't been edited. As a final hurrah though, here is a night lapse shot from Luna Park. It only goes for 9 seconds.

And another one... Notice that the Sofitel Hotel (where we were staying) is blue in this shot and at the top of this page, it is red.

Clearly I now know where I am... and so do you. See you in South America... subscribe to my blog at https://xsymetrix.com.au
