Introduction
It has been an exciting time for our careers offer at Croesyceiliog School since the Christmas break. We were very excited to hold our first on-site Careers Fair since the pandemic and the first in our new 21st century building. Over 20 employers, learning providers and careers advisors attended the Careers Fair and 480 students from Years 9 and 11 engaged with the providers about the career and further education opportunities that are available. Thank you to everyone involved especially Georgia Hadley from Careers Wales and Mr Sainsbury for organising the successful event.
Year 9 have also started their GCSE options process and this has involved a careers fortnight including activities during form time including careers talk videos as well as the Careers Advisors delivering sessions during Health and Wellbeing lessons.
We are also working with the post-16 employers and further education providers such as Hereford College and the Torfaen Learning Zone to ensure that all our students have the correct information and support to guide them through their post-16 pathway. This newsletter outlines the exciting opportunities offered to our students since autumn term.
