On Thursday 22nd September 2022 our new A Level Photography students set off on a short journey to sunny Hastings to do a photoshoot for their current coursework project called, A Sense of Place. Inspired by the work of photographers, Aaron Siskind and Paul Kenny, the students set about looking for aspects of the formal elements such as, line, tone, colour, texture etc. Their aim was to build a visual record of the spaces they were exploring using both digital and analogue cameras.
Over the next few weeks the students will learn how to use Adobe Lightroom to clean and render their digital images ready for printing and for further development using Adobe Photoshop. They will also develop and practise new skills in processing and printing their analogue images using our traditional darkrooms at LPGS…
