Ashlyn Stalcup buried a pair of first-half 3s as Prospect built a 15-2 lead at intermission. When backcourt mate Brytt Coker went fully active in the third quarter, the Tigers went on a run that put it away.
Coker, the other half of Prospect's dynamic duo, pumped in 10 points in the third on the way to 13 overall. Combined with a game-high 21 from Stalcup, it proved plenty for the Tigers to claim their fourth Blount County championship in five years. Last year's tournament was canceled due to the pandemic.
The Carpenters backcourt of Haworth and Blake White (15) proved decisive as the duo delivered 10 and 12 points, respectively, for the Cougars.
