Problem
Today, many college students’ have sleep deprivation, which is affecting their health. Some even work at full time jobs. Many students are looking for a way to re-energize themselves, which often results in the use of energy drinks or coffee to stay awake during classes and to help finish their assignments. This is a very unhealthy habit and can cause major health problems in the future. “Hive” wishes to solve this problem for students. Hive goal is to help students catch up on their sleep, recharge their energy, empower students and increase overall preforms.
Research
Hive did research among students to strengthen their goal in fighting sleep deprivation. Hive had 21 interviews and 52 surveys answered. Many students wouldn’t sleep in a sleeping pod, due to safety and privacy issues. Two students said they feel like other students might take pictures of them when they’re sleeping. Nine said other students might steal their belongings. The interviews and surveys helped Hive get a better understanding of college students.
Solution
Hive’s solution is to have napping cabins on college campuses for students to use during their breaks. Napping can help students dealing with sleep deprivation. Hive is planning to make students’ down time on campus into nap time. “Hive” hopes to bring napping to a norm for college students.
“Hive” is much better than its primary and secondary competitors at tackling sleep deprivation of college students. “Hive” is planned to use its competitors’ weakness as its major strengths to compete in the market and be successful. “Hive” is going to do this by fixing these common problems, to use it to my advantage.

Hive’s is going to create powerful, energetic advertisements to pump up students in napping and empower napping. The main target audiences would be students, so most of its advertising would be located in college campuses. Hive has a lot of outdoor advertisements which includes posters, signs, and bus stations around campus. Hive is going to design their advisement to promote napping and the napping cabin.
