Greater Scranton YMCA Lobby Remodel 706 N. Blakely Street, Dunmore, PA

We are thrilled to finally be able to share with you what we've been working on since 2020 for the Greater Scranton YMCA. Our design includes a new reception, waiting, lounge, cafe, study area, community teaching kitchen, and commercial kitchen, to better serve the members and programs at the Y. The lobby area includes seating, fireplace, and an aquarium. The lobby also includes community murals, and installations. The material theme for the lobby is aquatic and undersea, which relates to the various aquatic activities that are held at the Y. The lobby ceiling is opened up, exposing the building systems and providing a more open, welcoming experience. The community kitchen area includes programs teaching members of the community from middle schoolers to seniors, complete with audio/visual teaching aids. The programs will include farm to table produce, and a complete functional kitchen, accessible, and ready for hands on learning.
