Welcome, Dustdevil! ⬇️ Scroll Down ⬇️

Monday, Jan. 30, 2023

Dear University community,

  • A chance to glimpse the future of TAMIU’s campus in five years, 15 years, and beyond will be shared with TAMIU students, faculty, staff, and the community at-large Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023.
  • An information session will be held from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. The future is bright…here’s more.
  • Did you know you can set up an Installment Plan to pay your tuition? You can do so via installment payments. A $30 cost is required to set up the plans in addition to a 25% down payment. The remaining 75% of tuition owed is separated into three equal payments due in Feb., March, and April. Deadline is Monday, Feb. 13 to avoid being dropped from courses.

Payment plans can be processed online via Uconnect:

  • Login to Uconnect
  • Click on "My Records."
  • Select "Pay My Bill."
  • Click on the blue "Pay Now" button. (You will be redirected to the payment site)
  • Enroll in a Payment Plan
  • *Google Chrome is the preferred browser for setting up this online payment plan.

  • Tax season is here, and TAMIU’s A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business is providing free tax preparation assistance for qualified individuals in Webb and Zapata Counties from Saturday, Feb. 4 - Tuesday, April 18 at TAMIU's Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 126.
  • Tax preparation assistance is provided through the Voluntary Taxpayer Assistance (VITA) Program, an IRS-sponsored program that offers free tax return preparation and general tax help to families and individuals. IRS-certified tax preparers will be onsite to help individuals. Find out more.
  • Gotta Dance? Aspiring dancers are invited to attend a series of workshops hosted by our Dance faculty members. The first session is this Saturday, Feb. 4 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and it’s free. To register, visit the Eventbrite link here https://go.tamiu.edu/dancedays
  • These dance workshops will offer Contemporary Ballet, Modern Dance, Ballet Folklórico, and Flamenco classes. Spring Dance Days offer individuals the unique opportunity to learn about TAMIU’s Dance program and interact with renowned dance faculty members. Dance Days are open to the public, current students…and ideal for transfer or high school students.
  • COVID-19 remains a threat here, across our State, nation, and world. Recommended face coverings/masks, and rigorous hand-washing can help reduce your exposure risk. Learn more about free on-campus testing. If you haven’t already, bookmark our COVID-19 Response Center.

Have a great week and Go Dustdevils!
