This week in PSHE we have been learning about the internet and how it can help us. We looked at a selection of links on the computer and thought about what they all had in common. After lots of chat the children figured out that they were all internet based tools and we made a list of all of the things we can do online.
Next we chatted about what it means to stay safe online and thought about how we follow rules to stay safe in real life. The children also agreed that we need to follow rules on the internet too. The children came up with some brilliant ideas, like not talking to strangers online, asking a grown before clicking on anything new, and keeping personal information private.
The children put all of their online safety knowledge to use by creating posters using a software program on their iPads. They carefully designed their posters to highlight the key message of staying safe online.
In PE the children had a fantastic time working on their balance and coordination. The children worked hard to keep their balance steady, focusing on their posture and movements. They also spent time thinking about how to jump and land correctly. The children learned to bend their knees, keep their feet together, and use their arms for balance, ensuring they landed softly and in control.
