Reading - The children have enjoyed reading their own books this week. Some of us even listened to the book being read to us!
Maths - In maths this week, we have been looking at addition and subtraction. After a few examples, the children were confident enough to come up to the board and answering some questions, explaining to the rest of the class how they worked out their answer.
English - We have been learning how to use inverted commas. First, we put the speech into speech bubbles before then creating sentences with them.
Music - We have continued to learn to play the glockenspiel in music and are getting very good at it!
Class Assembly - On Friday, we had our class assembly where we got to share all of our learning so far in year 4. Thank you if you were able to come along!
Science - This week, we have been learning all about electricity. We learnt what mains powered and battery powered meant, and were even able to come up with some examples of different appliances that use both. We also looked at how electricity can be dangerous and how we can keep safe around it. Next week, we are going to have a go at creating our own circuits!
