Upon hearing this news of my award, I was quite surprised and enthusiastic. I had recently started a new and more demanding job and am still on my probationary period. The news encouraged my employer to finalize my permanent posting, not only to undertake an apprentice, but as the primary CNC Machinist of the firm.

My responsibilities and skills are now being put to the test, and my success - as well the success of many others - would not have been possible without the collaboration and education fostering environment brought upon not only by staff and faculty but by your institution providing students with the best equipment and incentivizing their learning environment.

The funds provided with the award have helped immensely in acquiring some much-needed equipment to allow the most efficient undertaking of my new role, and for that I am very grateful.
