What is Actively Learn (ELA)?
Actively Learn is a digital program where teachers can assign readings to their students. The readings can be picked from a group of 3,300+ with new texts being added frequently. From short stories, to current events, poems, and textbook pages there is a wide range of topics that can be covered.
There is a free version available to teachers and students to start their classroom use today! In order to get the full experience, the membership would be $40 +/- depending on the plan you choose.
ISTE Standards for Educators
- 2.5.a Use technology to create, adapt and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs.
- 2.7.c Use assessment data to guide progress and communicate with students, parents and education stakeholders to build student self-direction.

- 1.1.a Students articulate and set personal learning goals, develop strategies leveraging technology to achieve them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve learning outcomes.
- 1.1.c Students use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.
CCSS Standards
- RL.1.1 Ask and answer questions about key details in a text
- RL.2.3 Describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges.
- RI.2.2 Identify the main topic of a multi-paragraph text as well as the focus of specific paragraphs within the text.
