Deputy Mark Johnson, the SRO at Edgewood Early Childhood Center, recently stopped by Mrs. Lindroth's class and Ms. Lamassa's class to let them know how great they have been doing being responsible, respectful, and safe in the hallway. As a special award, he brought them all special deputy badges and appointed them as fellow deputies of the school. He swore them in and made them promise to follow the school rules everyday. Thanks Deputy Johnson for always helping out in the building!

Edgewood Intermediate School Classroom Spotlight
Mrs. Judd, Intervention Specialist, and Mrs. Wilder, Instructional Aide, work in our Cross Categorical Resource Room to support students with behavioral and social/emotional needs. Mrs. Judd's classroom features instruction utilizing the Zones of Regulation, de-escalation strategies, and daily modified schedules with built in sensory breaks and supports. The students love practicing academic skills as well as learning life skills such as following a recipe to cook. The students also have weekly responsibilities they enjoy such as stocking our Dojo carts that all students use to shop from. Mrs. Judd's students have been very successful this year and have thrived on having a safe place to de-escalate. The students in her room are showing success with the love, structured schedules, and skills they have been exposed to this year.
