My name is Ashley Romero Gomez. I am 16 years old and currently attend James A. Garfield High School. This semester is my 5th semester with the Las Fotos Project. In the past, I enjoyed participating in Esta Soy Yo and Digital Promotoras classes. This semester will be my first ceo. I've been highly encouraged to grow both individually and as a photographer by the previous classes at Las Fotos Project. I enjoy using photography as a way to see myself as something different and find new ways to see the world through a different lens (no pun intended). During the past semesters, I was able to connect with myself on a deeper emotional level. My inspiration is my sister Maria because she has paved a pathway for me to be who I am, because she has taught me to be true to myself. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, and I am always on the lookout for Gothic Literature and horror fiction books, especially Isak Dinesen and Silvia Moreno-Garcia.
