Athens Baristas from 1000 Faces Coffee, Jittery Joes, and Molly's Coffee Company open up about their favorite at-home drinks and what they do outside of work.
1000 Faces Coffee: Jose
Q: What is your coffee recipe like at home?
A: I typically do pour-overs, using a Chemex or something of the sort. Whenever I get here I love having any espresso drink.
Q: What's one thing you want your Athens customers to know about you?
A: I'm pretty personable. I like having customers come in and share each others' knowledge on coffee.
Molly's Coffee Company: Emily
Q: What is your coffee recipe like at home compared to in-shop?
A: At home, I use my Nespresso; quick, easy coffee! In shop, my go-to is plain drip coffee, or if I'm feeling fancy, the almond coconut mocha!
Jittery Joe's Coffee: Zac
Q: What is your coffee recipe like at home compared to at work?
Pretty minimal. I usually start off with a standard cup, but I rely on coming into work to make specialty drinks.
Q: Is there anything you want to say to your Athens customers?
I love this community. Sometimes it can be frustrating dealing with customers that take their bad days out on me. We are all just people, and asking 'how are you' without actually wanting a response can be very upsetting at times.
Be kind and make conversation with your local barista!
