Community Expectations

Community Reminders:

  1. All community members (students and staff) must complete a daily health self screener before entering the school building and follow the Covid-19 Protocols.
  2. Students must have a pass from teachers when going to an assigned area in the building.
  3. We are expecting students to arrive on time to their classes, activities, and advisory period. Upon sweep of the hallway, students found out of an assigned area will be issued a discipline referral. Progressive discipline will ensue.
  4. Vending Machines are available in the morning, during lunch, or after school. Not during class or activities.
  5. Senior Privilege: Seniors are still required to sign out in the front office.
  6. Activities has started and students have been assigned to their activity for the semester. There are limited spots for many of our activities.

We are requesting parents support with reinforcing these expectations as outlined in our Student Code of Conduct.

Reinforcing Safety and Code of Conduct: Parental Tips and Support

  1. Daily Chats about stressors and communicate with the school when appropriate.
  2. Keep an eye on your child’s social media activities and who they are communicating with.
  3. Review the School Code of Conduct especially the sections on Bullying p. 59, Cyber Bullying (Happens more often than you think) p. 63, Possession of Dangerous Weapons (Includes things you never thought of) p. 64, and Unexcused Tardiness (You get two free) p.87.
  4. Review and reinforce Cab Calloway’s dress code. Tattered jeans, hats, pajamas, and tights are prohibited.
