They walk up on stage with tears and smiles. The thrills, cries, and laughter they went through to get to this point in their lives and all the memories they have built will always stay with them. The future awaits for them and the people say goodbye.
As a staff, we picked six different seniors who represent what Lindale is all about. They have good grades, great attitudes, and they are all around charismatic people.
Victoria Mayorga is on the drill team, student council, and key club. She plans to go to TJC for her promise then transfer to A&M.
“I have to say my favorite thing about high school is football games because everyone is excited and they love it, and it’s just a huge part of Lindale I think,” Mayorga said. “In high school, if you do your work on time and don’t wait until the last minute, it is so much easier.”

Elsabeth Schwind is involved in theater, choir, and ASL, and after graduation, Schwing plans on attending TJC’s ASL interpreter program then transferring to UT Tyler or SFA to study social work and counseling.
“Don’t be afraid to branch out and meet people and do things in high school because I think a lot of times, people are afraid of what people will think and judge, but if you put yourself out there you might find some really great people,” Schwind said. “I think high school has been a really good growing experience for me academically but also in figuring out who I am socially and who I want to be, and Lindale’s been a really good environment for that.”

Juliana Mckinney is part of the band and the twirling team, and she plans on attending SFA and study pediatrics in pediatric nursing. She also wants to do twirling at SFA as well.
“Football season has been my favorite part of high school because I like being on the field and so has competition for twirling because all of the twirlers get to be together,” Mckinney said. “If you focus on school and take honors classes, it makes high school easy and helpful to get into college.”

Troy Dane is involved in NHS and UIL Science, and after graduation, he plans to attend the University of Texas and Tyler to major in biology then pursue a career in anesthesiology at a medical university.
“Take your time through high school; It goes quick, so enjoy it while it lasts,” Dane said. “You look up and suddenly you’re a senior and about to graduate, so take your time while you can.”

Judson Long is an athlete on the football team, and he plans on doing football in college.
“Lindale is such a close family with the teachers, administrators, and principals working as a family, and that's what makes this school so great,” Long said. “Football has taught me to just keep going and don't give up; It’s taught me that there is a finish line and when things get hard, I have to keep pushing through because it’s worth it in the end.”

Trenton Harbour is involved in track and field, and he is part of the Chick-fil-A leadership academy. After high school, he plans on going to TJC to acquire an associates degree in general studies, and he plans to go to A&M for a degree in business. After college, he wants to transfer to officer candidate school in the coast guard and fly as a United States coast guard Pilot.
“My favorite thing about high school has definitely been all the teachers because they create a really fantastic environment,” Harbour said. “Try to live in the moment. Everything goes by a lot faster than you think so just try to slow down and really appreciate what you have and who you are around and all those things.”
