CEREMONIES
Civil Marriage Ceremonies are offered Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
$405: 1 hour Council Chambers rental with a maximum of 20 guests
$230: 1/2 hour Council Chambers rental with a maximum 8 guests
What to bring: Marriage License (up to 2 witnesses can sign), Photo IDs, rings (if being exchanged), no food or beverages are allowed
Payment in full is due to reserve your requested date. Cash, checks, and money orders made payable to the City of Alameda, as well as credit cards, are accepted. When making payment, you may drop off the marriage license for safekeeping. No refunds or credits will be given for any reason including but not limited to cancellations, failure to show up or any unforeseen circumstances.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
- Marriage License - Marriage licenses must be obtained from any County Clerk-Recorder. The license is valid for 90 days. After the ceremony your license will be forwarded to the County Clerk where it was obtained. The County Clerk processes and returns the license to you. If you do not receive your certified license, please follow up with the County Clerk.
- Valid photo ID
- Signed and dated wedding contract
