The Faubion Orchestra is having a clothing drive through "Philthebox". A large metal donation bin will be placed outside on the west side of FMS from October 21-23. We are looking for donations of women's, mens, kids, baby clothing, shoes, purses, bags, hats, gloves, belts, scarves, and wallets. Philthebox will pay our orchestra for all of these donations, plus they will get reused and recycled! Please put all donations in plastic bags before dropping them into the bin.
Our Sinfonia, Concertino, Camerata, and Honors Students have all been working on solos for our upcoming solo festival on October 22. All students will be performing a solo at the festival and will be receiving their info sheets with their performance times this Wednesday. We would also love parent volunteers to help be room monitors for this event. If you are able to help, please contact Mrs. Zamora at kzamora@mckinneyisd.net
Our Faubion Orchestra Boosters is sponsoring fun, optional spiritwear for students and fans of the Faubion Orchestra through Home Team Prints. You can shop online here for different styles (t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeve t-shirts, dry fit shirts, tank tops, baseball tees, etc) of each design. A portion of each sale benefits the Faubion Orchestra Boosters. There is no shipping cost when it is delivered to the store (located behind Waffle House). This is a great gift idea for the holidays!
We encourage all parents to join the Faubion Orchestra Boosters. This parent organization provides support to our orchestra program by helping fund student socials (bounce houses, video game trucks and etc), extra workshops/clinics, prizes and incentives for students, and private lesson scholarships. There are different membership levels and rewards starting at just $10 per family. Sign up here. Membership dues can be paid through zelle to fobcmisd@gmail.com or cash/check can be sent to school in an envelope with your child's first/last name and "Booster Membership". Together, we can make a difference.

Also, Faubion Orchestra has a Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok account for fans/parents of the orchestra to follow. We encourage parents to follow us on these sites. This not anything that is required for any students as we realize many students do not have social media accounts--and that is okay!
