MEADE STADIUM

The stadium was constructed in 1928 and was named after politician, alum, and lifelong URI football fan Jack Meade, who never missed a home football game. The field turf and stadium lights were added in 2019 and the stadium has seating capacity for 6,555.

The 'Anchor Bearer' is a proud tradition and honor that features a Ram player leading the team out to the field before every game. There are 11 links that are interlocked on the Anchor and they represent the 11 Rhody players that are on the field at any given time and are playing for each other.

HISTORIC RUN!

During the 2021 fall season, the Rams jumped out to a 5-0 start for just the fourth time in program history. After their fifth victory, the Rams were the 12th ranked team in FCS and it was their highest ranking in 20 years.
