Dear University community,
With the approach of the Fall semester weeks away, Texas A&M International University is gearing up to welcome new students, faculty and members of our administration and staff.
- I’m proud to present our new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Claudia E. San Miguel. Dr. San Miguel will be our first female and first Hispanic Provost. She has achieved a remarkable legacy of teaching, research, and service to the University, and is keenly positioned to continue that legacy as our new Provost. Find out more about Dr. San Miguel here and learn about her priorities moving forward.
- Tomorrow, we also welcome Rosalinda García as our first Vice President for Student Engagement. We have a vibrant student life here at TAMIU and as our chief student life officer, Ms. García will provide strategic leadership to grow student experience and success. Meet Ms. García and find out about her thoughts on helping TAMIU grow.
- We also celebrate the addition of Mr. Juan Gilberto García as Vice President of Enrollment Management. Mr. García also shares a remarkable history of service here at the University and will lead our Division of Enrollment Management, a sprawling operation that encompasses our dynamic enrollment, international, outreach, recruitment and TRIO programs. He’ll be assisted by new Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management Scheiby Fisher González.
- We’ll also be welcoming scores of new faculty and I look forward to introducing all to our University community.
