Lauren Reins of Motivation in Movement and Erin DeLaney of Appetite for Color have created to one of a kind workshop with today's dancers in mind! F E A S T is a full day workshop designed to cultivate genuine connection, encourage vulnerability, and inspire authenticity in movement, expression, and in life. Lauren and Erin have blended their expertise and passions for dance, photography and coaching, to create a truly memorable personal growth experience for dancers, and artists.
FEAST is a safe space for dancers to explore who they are, and to examine honest ways to let that discovery express itself through art. It's a personal tool box, full of ideas and skills, that will help them build self awareness, confidence, and self compassion. It’s a time to embrace their own stories, identify their strengths and challenges, and develop their best mindset, using the Enneagram as a guide.
A message to our participants: Throughout the day, you can expect to experience contemporary choreography, improvisation, Lauren's unique motivation in movement class, encouraging discussions, prompts and journaling. Erin will be candidly capturing each dancer throughout the day with her camera, as well as a few individual portraits. A few weeks after the workshop dancers will have access to the gallery and be able to download some of their favorite photographs.
Lauren Reins
Lauren Reins is a dance educator, choreographer and founder of Motivation in Movement, a coaching practice for dancers. Her mission is to connect with as many dancers as possible through the art of dance and mindset training. She seeks to co-create a space where vulnerability is celebrated, and therefore unlocks authentic performances, both onstage and in life. She helps dancers individually as they embrace their own story and ultimately find confidence in who they are as humans. Using wellness coaching techniques, the enneagram, improv and choreography, Lauren works with each dancer to create self awareness, connection, growth mindset, balance, and authenticity. Her hope is that by training each dancer holistically, body and mind, the dancer can FEAST on the love, light, and unique artistic self expression that dance has to offer.
Erin DeLaney
Erin DeLaney is a heartfelt storyteller who uses many different mediums to express herself and to encourage expression from others. As a dancer, choreographer, writer and photographer, she can't help but document and create. She feels most alive when she is sharing stories, challenging cultural norms, and diving deep into the details of who we are … and why we are here. Erin loves inspiring young artists to better understand, articulate and share their stories through dance. She feels like every day is an invitation to celebrate, and FEAST upon this one and only beautifully gifted life. Erin lives in Portland, Oregon with her two wildly enthusiastic young daughters, where there is no shortage of magic and chaos, good tears and deep belly laughs.
