Recharge at your local parks
Everyone enjoys getting outside on a beautiful day for some fresh air, and there is no better place than at a local park. Gather your family and friends, and head outside to unplug and recharge.
The National Recreation and Parks Association recognizes the importance of parks and recreation in our daily lives during July. Get a head start in June with an array of activities, from hiking in a scenic state park to playing frisbee at a neighborhood park, there is something for everyone.
You do not have to travel far to find adventure! Dames Ferry Park, the only campground at Lake Juliette, is surrounded by a crystal-clear fishing lake formed by the Ocmulgee River, and most campsites have water views.
High Falls State Park boasts hiking trails, a swimming pool, boating, Aqua Cycle, kayak, and canoe rentals, plus campsites that range from paddle-in primitive sites to glamping yurts.
Indian Springs State Park is a local favorite and one of the oldest state parks in the nation. The park is well-known for healing spring water and nature trails.
Are you a sports fan? Henry County Parks and Recreation provides youth and adult sports, special events, and programs for people of all ages.
Get plugged into your local parks community by volunteering. Opportunities range from coaching a sports team to cleaning up a hiking trail.
No matter your interests, spending time in nature is essential for our overall well-being. So take a break from your daily routine and relax at a local park.

Notice of Capital Credits Assignments
Central Georgia EMC (CGEMC) announces that the capital credits assignment for 2022 is 1.92%. In an electric membership cooperative structure, like CGEMC, each dollar paid in excess of the cost of providing service is an investment in CGEMC by its customer-owners.
At the end of the year, and after all expenses are paid, any remaining funds are assigned to customer-owners’ accounts. CGEMC’s margins are used as capital until they can be returned through a general refund without impairing the cooperative’s financial condition.
Your capital credits assignment is calculated by multiplying your total electric bill for the year, minus the sales tax and any miscellaneous charges times 1.92%.
For example:
- If your annual bill totaled $500 x .0192, then your assignment is $9.60
- If your annual bill totaled $1,000 x .0192, then your assignment is $19.20
- If your annual bill totaled $1,500 x .0192, then your assignment is $28.80
- If your annual bill totaled $2,000 x .0192, then your assignment is $38.40
Note: Assignments do not include Central Georgia EMC large power accounts.

Operation Round Up Spotlight
Butts County Special Olympics
Central Georgia EMC (CGEMC) is grateful for the amazing opportunity to give back to our communities through Operation Round Up (ORU). Thanks to the generosity and kindheartedness of our participating members, the CGEMC ORU Foundation can help fund worthy organizations in our territory and make a real difference in people's lives.
For example, the Butts County Schools Special Olympics held their annual track and field meet April 21, and it was an absolute success! Forty-eight athletes participated, with 90 volunteers ensuring everyone had an incredible time.
With the support of the members who participated in Operation Round Up, the foundation was able to grant $2,000 to help make this event possible. Together, we truly can make a difference! Learn how you can help make a positive impact in your community at www.cgemc.com/operation-round. We would love to have you on our team!

Levelized Billing
Nobody likes a surprise when it comes to their electric bill. That's why we offer Levelized Billing.

The bill amount will vary slightly to reflect changes in monthly usage. The convenience of a level monthly payment allows you to plan your monthly budget better.
