Community Updates

1. Elections

All hubs must elect a new Curator, Vice-Curator and Impact Officer before 1 March 2023.This gives us just under 3 weeks! Newly-elected leaders will start their mandate on 1 July 2023.

Curators all hub members on how to vote as soon as possible. Candidates for Curator were expected to upload their Leadership Plans to TopLink before 5 February.

Read our Elections Guide on how to run elections and submit results. Attend our last 'open house' session on 15 February at 11:00 CET to ask all your questions.

2. Shape our Community - Join our Councils!

Our Councils exists for one reason: to ensure Global Shapers are directly involved in our community’s governance, growth and impact. If you wish to help shape our community, we invite you to apply to join our Councils from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024!

To apply, complete the following steps by 1 March 2023:

3. New Hubs

Our community is growing. Thanks to a successful incubator, we are delighted to announce that 52 new hubs have joined the Global Shapers Community this month. Help us celebrate by sharing a welcome message on TopLink!

4. Twin Cities

To strengthen collaboration within the community, broaden perspectives and help Shapers leverage membership benefits, we're piloting a Twin Cities programme between new and established hubs. In July 2023, the programme will be launched across the community.

Stay tuned for results and an invitation to meet your 'twin' later this year!

5. Curatorship Curriculum: Multitasking

Successful Curators learn how to multitask and use the time of volunteers efficiently. Join our Curatorship Curriculum module at 14:00 CET on 23 February for tips and strategies! Find recordings and materials from past sessions.

6. Impact Curriculum: Reskill for the Future

We are a community of action. Join our Impact Curriculum session at 15:00 CET on 17 Feb to learn from, connect and collaborate with peers who are working on education, skills, jobs, digital literacy and more. These sessions are designed for Impact Officers, but all are welcome.
