- On behalf of the Cab Calloway School of the Arts Administration Team, Happy New Year to our Cab Community. We are honored to serve the Cab Calloway Community and look forward to a safe and academically successful second half of the 2022-23 School Year.
- The below document will serve as a resource to identify the contact person who can serve you and your students needs.
District Strategic Planning Survey
- RCCSD is in the process of developing a strategic plan and wants to know how students, parents, and staff perceive the district’s current performance in a variety of areas and what they think the district should prioritize moving forward. Your responses will help RCCSD understand your needs so we can best serve you.
Hygiene Products: Bathrooms
- Delaware law requires that all public and charter schools maintaining any combination of grades 4-12 shall provide free feminine hygiene products in a minimum of ½ of bathrooms used by students who can have a menstrual cycle.
- Schools must publish on the school’s website and post in the school’s common areas the locations of the bathrooms where feminine hygiene products are provided. Such information should be updated if bathroom locations are changed.
- All of our restrooms have feminine hygiene products available in female restrooms except for the first floor and locker rooms at this time.
- The Nurses office is another location where feminine hygiene products are available.
Lead Water Testing Update
- As stated in recent reports, the state Department of Education and Department of Public Health have performed water testing in schools throughout the state.
- Please keep in mind that for any samples that are shown in Yellow or Red, the fixtures have been taken out of service until they are deemed safe to use.

Access Testing and Multi Language Learners
- Larisa Lenoff serves as our full time Multi Language Learner Instructor in Building who will be responsible for facilitating Access Testing.

- Cab Calloway School Fund sponsored an Alumni Luncheon that welcomed over 140 former students and teachers.

MS Theatre Arts: Kenneth Johnson Jr.
- Congratulations to our sixth grade Vocal Major Kenneth Johnson for being selected as Simba in Disney’s The Lion King Broadway production.
- At the age of 6 Kenneth dreamed of being on Broadway after witnessing his first show.
- He took a picture at 6 with one of the longest tenured actors on Broadway and now will share the stage with him.

MS Visual Arts: Angela Shih
- Congratulations to Angela a 6th grader visual arts major, for winning 3rd place in the State of Delaware in the statewide Conservation Poster Contest.
High School Vocal Music Director Marjorie Eldreth and Philadelphia Eagles
- Our very own Marjorie Eldreth had the opportunity to share her musical critique in a Delaware Online article on Offensive Linemen Jason Mailata’s vocals highlighted on the Philadelphia Eagles Holiday album recording.

Student Extracurricular Activities
- Effective November 28th all students are required report to their extra curricular activity by 2:35 PM.
- Students have until 3:30 PM to wait in the lobby for their ride.
- The lobby is not for students to loiter for social time.
- All 10-12th grade students leaving campus must sign in the front office upon return.
- Attendance will be kept by club advisor or supervising staff.
