Sky Cruz Photographer

Sky Cruz is a Chicano student photographer raised in Los Angeles, California. Her main focus is self-portraits and fashion photography but is not limited. She hopes to expand her knowledge of photography to other forms such as street photography and event photography. In her free time she enjoys exploring her community with her family, going shopping, grabbing coffee and trying out different foods at new restaurants.

Fashion Photography

Splitting Image of my Mother: In this photo shoot I dressed up like what my mom would usually wear in high school. She had red hair and long eyelashes like me and loved wearing jerseys or sweaters of her favorite teams and t-shirts.

Creative Works

Don't Judge my Cat by it's Cover: My cat, Charlie, is more lovable than he looks.
Face Paintings: Every Thursday my family and I make time to do weekly paintings. The ones we are holding up are our favorite paintings we had done over the past few weeks. This picture represents our differences in style and the theme of dia de los muertos.

Event Photography

Dia de los muertos: November 1st is dia de los muertos and this event was held at Lincoln Park. This cultural celebration included mariachi, aztec dances, and Mexican food like tamales and aguas fresca.

Nature Photography

The Heavens Above: These clouds were taken the day of Dia de los muertos November 1st at 5:00 p.m. It is a very beautiful moment to witness because it can be perceived as the spirits of our loved ones coming down to celebrate this day with us.

Street Photography

The top right picture is a Metro bus caught in low exposure mode, just like the bottom row of this collection.
