Drawing with light - photography - is best done in the dark.
At night, the combination of low light and slow shutter speeds, carves scenes out of the darkness that are invisible to us during the daytime.
It's never fully dark. There is always some light to see by, whether it is man-made or reflected - as on this particular evening by a moon shrouded in a soft cover of clouds.
The dominant colors are black and white. Photographs taken at this time of day are about the contrast not the subject.
All is dark except for the detail.
