“I currently live in Tinley Park, Illinois (a mere hour and a half drive from campus) with my beautiful wife Mandy who is a lawyer. I work as a Professional Engineer for SEECO Consultants, Inc. in Tinley Park with my Father who is a double Domer–(Class of ‘65 and ‘67)."

"I am the current Chair of the Tinley Park Planning Commission and an Associate member of the Tinley Park Marketing Commission. I have also filmed, edited and hosted Tinley Park Public Access Television."

"My family and I go back to campus quite often for football games, men’s and women’s basketball games, hockey, class reunions and sometimes just to bike ride around the lake with my wife. I may have graduated many years ago but my great friendships, memories and love for the University of Notre Dame still remain."

"I am usually at every Notre Dame home football game. Say hello if you see me! And Go Irish!”

Dorm: ”I lived all 4 years on campus in Grace Hall (now no longer a dorm!) Your dorm mates really become a second family at Notre Dame."

Major: Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering

Class year: 1996

Hometown: Orland Park, Illinois

Current Location Tinley Park, Illinois

Favorite ND memory: "One of my favorite memories at Notre Dame is writing and filming a movie for the 1994 Morrissey Film festival with my roommate Pat Cassidy called “7 foot-4 Inches and All Heart: The Andre the Giant Story”. Our friend and dorm mate Kevin O’Grady acted in the lead role as Andre the Giant. Kevin said throughout his life, people called him “Andre the Giant” because he was a big guy. Kevin wore the black strong man leotard and black boots and really looked the part and acted great! Coach Lou Holtz filmed a scene in our movie with Kevin in his office! (I still have a signed copy of the script from Lou that says “Garrett, Nice to work with you!” hanging up in my study!). Kevin won the best actor award at the Morrissey Film Festival! And we were ecstatic on that day!"

Fun fact about yourself: “A fun fact about me is I attended The Second City in Chicago and have done improv there, and locally in Tinley Park and Orland Park. I started a club “Yes and Toastmasters” that combines public speaking and improv so that people can become socially fearless speakers. I also give fun improv workshops that help team building.”

Favorite fundraising or engagement tactic: "My favorite engagement strategy is using drip marketing through the ND Loyal Give Campus email templates because you can reach a lot of people at once. And if the first email does not result in a donation--the 3rd one might!"

Recording: GiveCampus 101 - Training

If you missed our first GiveCampus training or want to watch the replay, check out the recording of this amazing first session training. The training is only 30 minutes long and walks you through registering or logging in, searching and assigning constituents, looking at a constituents profile, utilizing existing email templates, and creating your own email templates.

We will be hosting a second training in August that will dive into more GiveCampus features including texting capabilities and creating filters within your assigned constituents.

Stay tuned!
