Valentine's Day: Paper Flowers by Alexis herrera

It's that time of year when the sweet smell of chocolates fill the air, bundles of cute stuffed animals arise, and the sight of elegant flowers brings out a loving message. Here’s a lovely Valentine's Day idea on how to make wonderful handmade flowers for your loved ones.

Supplies Needed

You will need the following:

  1. pipe cleaner
  2. four pieces of color tissue paper
  3. scissors

Step 1: Take all the pieces of tissue paper and crumble them up. Then, gently refold them back to their flat shape

Step 2: Using the scissors, cut the tissue paper into four sets.

Step 3: Use one of the sets of tissue paper and fold it in half. Then, fold it zig-zag style like a fan.

Step 4: Fold it back to its original shape then tightly wrap a pipe cleaner around the very middle of it.

Step 5: Fold out the tissue paper one by one on each side very gently so it won’t tear up. After expanding it, put it close together so it will stay. You can cut the very edge of the tissue paper wave-style so it looks like an actual flower. Voila!
