Build a Better 'U'

Better U is a fitness app to be used by any adult for the purpose of making exercise convenient.

Why was Better U created?

Some adults need to improve their fitness levels because they struggle to get the sufficient exercise

What makes you think that's a real issue?

Just listen to Matthew's experience with the problem at hand:

Matthew always looks forward to his workouts. Six days a week he makes time for exercise and enjoys it. Exercise makes him feel strong and more energetic. Not only that, but it helps him prepare for a busy day and relieves much of his stress.

That being said, Matthew is feeling stressed because he is having issues making time for his workout routine. Between all his school work and his job, he finds himself with little free time to use for exercise. He’s had several instances of having to either cut a workout short or skip it entirely. This prevents Matthew from getting the full benefits out of his exercise.

But I don't know who Matthew is, why should I care about his problems?

Well, Matthew's not the only one having this issue. 62 people were surveyed and 20 were interviewed. The largest obstacle for working out amongst adults was time. 84% of respondents said they don't have time for exercise due to higher priorities. Other pain points included lack of motivation, cost, and equipment access.

So, what's the answer?

Better U provides short workout videos daily and allows users to connect with each other and follow a workout session together. Users can even ask questions and learn from each other with the forums feature.

But what makes Better U so special?

Better U's value can be summed up in three 'C' words: convenience, community, and cheap. Better U's workout videos are short in length so they're easy to fit into a busy schedule. Users can easily interact with each other to form a sense of community. To top it all off, Better U is more affordable than its biggest competitors.

Wait, Better U has competitors?

The fitness market is very saturated, so Better U has many competitors. Peloton and 7M Workout embody the competition in the most general form: solutions that make exercise convenient. However, Better U is way more affordable than Peloton, and is more community-driven than 7M Workout.

Okay, so who's it for?

Better U can be used by anyone, but it was designed with three personas in mind that give a general overview of who would benefit most from Better U.

And how will people know about this?

Since everybody needs exercise, the most appropriate way to advertise Better U is to reach as many people as possible. The primary advertising method is digital, with social media and web banners being the driving advertising force. Printed and digital billboards that everybody can see will also be used.

What are all those little yellow characters?

Those are the 'Yous.' They play a vital role in Better U's branding visuals. Speaking of visuals, let me show you the rest of Better U's visual standards.
