Well done to all the pupils who have moved up a level in Reading Plus this week. A great acheivement!
We were really lucky to have Sam from The Anne Frank Trust come into school to talk to us about the story of an Anne Frank and also prejudice and discrimination.
On Tuesday we learnt about Anne Frank’s story and what happened during the Holocaust. We completed lots of activities and oracy explanations of what we thought about different scenarios and how Anne Frank was similar and different to each of us.
On Wednesday we looked further into prejudice and discrimination, what it means and what we could do if we see or hear it happening. We also wrote a fantastic class poem about prejudice which you can see below. A big thank you so Sam for explaining so much to us and answering our questions.
In art this week, we started to look at sculptures and 3d art. We used clay to create a sculpture that showed something about us. We could then add extra materials too if we thought it would enhance our piece of work.
Well done to our star of the week and a Golden Book super star for receiving a certificate for their work on fossils in Science. 🌟
