Plant People 🌱AI Generated Images🌱

These are synthetic images which were created entirely by AI using the webui fork of Stable Diffusion. They are base on text prompts such as "sentient plant with a face" and various adjectives such as "happy" or "angry" as well as specifying some more specific kinds of plant such as "fern" or "tropical plant." I applied the negative prompt "fake drawing painting" to avoid images of illustrations and obviously fake plants. I also included "text" in the negative prompt to suppress the appearance of gibberish overlay text. I used the maximum allowed number sampling steps (150) which makes a big difference in how realistic plants appear, especially in image backgrounds. I did not use a GAN to make faces less uncanny. I didn't exert any effort to polish these in Photoshop or by inpainting parts of images that I didn't like. Instead I let the AI do all the hard work by generating lots of images which I simply curated for my favorites.
