Why? Through the Humanities curriculum our learners will develop a range of subject specific and higher order skills essential for the 21st century and to foster their lifelong love of learning.
What? Our learners will become ethical citizens that recognise their place in their cynefin, Wales and the world. Our learners will be informed, self-aware citizens that will engage with the challenges and opportunities that face humanity. They will develop a solid base of knowledge and understanding of geographical, historical, religious, non-religious, business, and social studies concepts.
How? They will experience awe and wonder and develop a sense of place and purpose through learning about the diverse, dynamic and interconnected world in which we live.
The Experience: You will explore the links between the past and Wales in the 21st Century. We investigate the Roman Empires, the spread of Christianity, the British Empire and ethical dilemmas such as fairtrade and apartheid. We finish with a whole class debate covering all aspects of the learning journey.
