CGEMC Happenings

Welcome new employees

We have several new faces at CGEMC! Brian Briggs, Noah Roell, and Timothy Steffens have joined our Distribution team. Jack Como is our new Accounting Intern and James Williams is our Fleet and Facilities Intern. We are excited to welcome them!

safety matters

Annual Pole Top Rescue Training was completed by CGEMC line crews. During the "rescue" of the 180-pound training mannequin, each lineperson must climb the pole, secure the mannequin, then lower it to the ground.

The staking and metering departments participated in bucket rescue drills, which involved calling in a Mayday to our System Operators. This vital training equips our employees to respond swiftly and safely in stressful and dangerous situations.

a smarter way to protect your home

If your home's security is a top priority for you, consider investing in a sophisticated security system.

In addition to traditional monitoring, a smart system works with your phone, smartwatch, or even your voice. A smart system allows you to check in remotely, and can be set to alert you to smoke, fire, carbon monoxide, or water leaks.

Contact our friends at EMC Security, at 770-963-0305, and see what a smart security system can do for you.
